Haul & Reviews: Vichy, Isadora

First off Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum. After reading quite a few positive reviews I got myself a bottle too (a review from Passing Fancy really prompted me to get it. You can find here review here.) I've been using it for a week now and I'm not going to be so generous with praises. Don't get me wrong, it is a great product, but it's not amazing. Let me begin with a description of my skin. I have a combination skin with some dry patches (mainly on the lower part of the forehead). I've had these dry patches for years now and no matter what moisturiser I used and how many times I exfoliated, they were still there. But with this serum they finally (!) started disappearing (there are still some left above one of my eyebrows), but the state is definitely improving. Another thing I noticed is how much better my foundation looks after application (Max Factor Liquid Illusion, just trying to use it up). Before I didn't even apply foundation on my forehead, simply because it really emphasized those dry areas (even with moisturiser underneath). However I don't find my skin being more dewy or looking more healthy. Maybe it just needs more time. The serum is very light so I like to apply my regular moisturiser on top (CadeaVera Young Fluid for normal to dry skin when I'm at home and Neutrogena Oil-free moisturiser when I'm in Ljubljana). It has a very light scent, which is difficult to describe, it's kind of typical chemist scent. I love the packaging, a nice glass bottle with a pump which dispenses the right amount of product (I use one pump for my face). Here it cost 18� something for 30 ml of product.

If you remember my Isadora Fanciful post, I said I'd love to have their Glow Stick if I could find it a bit cheaper. In fact I did :). Limoni sells it for outrageous 18-19�, I got mine in M�ller for 15,60 �. And I love it. It gives that gorgeous light flush and that great glow on the cheeks. I tried to get a picture of it on me but my camera hates me. I also saw the new collection Jungle Fever. The powder bronzer looked very nice, but the new Glow Stick looked very copper on me.

And the last thing is Wild rose oil from M�ller. I ''borrowed'' it from my brother (btw bro you're not getting it back). He bought it in his Roaccutanne era when his skin was incredibly dry and he found oils to be the best to fight the dryness. He got it as a replacement for Dr. Hauschka Normalizing Oil (which he loved) and strangely enough the scent is identical. I personally don't love it, but I don't hate it either (I'm one of those people who dislike the smell of roses. Weird I know). I've been using it for a week now and I have to say that my skin feels a lot softer. Another thing I like is that it absorbs relatively quickly. There are more oils available in M�ller (I know there's almond oil) and they cost about 5� for 100 ml, but I'm not sure.

Pupa Luminys Blush 07 and Essence 73 Replay

Pupa Luminys velvety baked blush 07 - I found these blushes in Limoni. Honestly, I had no idea Pupa has baked blushes that look similar to Mac's MSF. There are 6 shades available, 3 are bronze-golden shades, 06 was a pink with some purple (pink with a blue undertone), 07 is a pink and 08 is a bright coral but on my skin it looked very orange. These have a very luminous finish, however I actually didn't find them more luminous than Benefit's Coralista or NARS Orgasm. 07 looks like a mix of NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat on my skin tone, pink but with some peach, a fantastic shade for someone as pale as me. The packaging looks so cheap though. It's a mix of clear and milky plastic, honestly I would expect something like that from a blush for a couple of � and not for 20. However it's sturdy, you don't have the feeling that the lid might broke off at any moment. The little brush that comes with it (it's not in any of the pictures) is surprisingly useful. It lasted all day on me, it loses a bit of brightness, but still looks ok (as far as longevity goes Coralista wins hand down). All in all a great blush, but the packaging needs some upgrading.

Replay is one of the new shades of Essence's Multi Dimension XXXL Shine nail polishes. It another turquoise/teal shade that I love. This one has more green in it than Essence You belong to me. I apologize for the shoddy application, the formula of the nail polish is very thick but that's not my main problem. The problem is in the top coat from the same brand which is horrible (but base coat is fine). It just doesn't dry like forever. I really miss my faithful Essie Good 2 Go.   

IsaDora Fanciful (Spring 2011) - Lipsticks and Blush Swatches

 

This collection has been out for quite a while. I must have passed the display a dozen times and never really looked at it. Well the visual alone repelled me. But recently Dazzledust25 did a rave video about the Glow stick blush and Pink parfait lipstick, so I finally checked this collection out. Jelly Kiss gel lipstick are completely new. There are four shades available (51 Bare bliss, 52 Rose blush, 53 Pink parfait and 54 Lilac tulle), they all look bright but the formula is sheer and glossy. I think they are very similar to their Cream gloss stylos.

Glow stick blusher in 10 Rose bud is a shimmery rosey-coraly shade. A light application doesn't give much colour, but more  of a highlighting effect, however this doesn't mean you need to use loads for it to show up. The formula is very creamy and easy to blend. It's a gorgeous shade for lighter skin tones, it really brightens the face, but it's also way to expensive for the amount you get (something like those blushes from Rose Garden collection by Alverde). Here it's a bit over 18� (Limoni), maybe it's cheaper somewhere else, at least I hope it is, I would love to have it.

E.l.f. Haul

I only bought two product from E.l.f. this time, blush in Shy and their tinted moisturizer in Ivory.

Tokrat sem narocila le 2 stvari od E.l.f.-a, blush v odtenku Shy in obarvano kremo v odtenku Ivory (ocena v sloven�cini je pod drugo sliko).

I'm not a huge fan of foundations, I rarely use them all over the face, mostly I apply it only under the eyes and around the nose. Anyways I don't need much coverage in my opinion, so I've been on the look for a nice tinted moisturizer and I think I found a pretty good one. I like the fact that E.l.f. ones come in so many colours, Ivory is a perfect match for me (it's a tinted moisturizer anyways, so even if you take a shade darker or lighter it will probably still suit you). It's a quite thick cream, provides a sufficient coverage to even out the skin tone, however it's light enough that it doesn't cover freckles. If you layer it, it covers mild dark circles (not mine, mine are too dark). It doesn't clog my pores, I was a bit worried about that since it contains Caprylic/Capric Trigyceride. It leaves a very dewy finish, which is lovely, just not on my forehead which shines like a disco ball, so I powder it. It lasts quite long, I've been testing it for about a week now and it definitely lasted from 7 a.m. to at least 4 p.m. (I couldn't really check later, because the light was fading and I couldn't really see the actual state under the yellow artificial lights.). The scent is actually lovely (unlike their stick foundation) it's a nice orangey scent. The packaging is really small, which I like, because I intend to carry it around. Price wise it's really cheap, a mere 1,7� for 12g (strangely there's no info about ml) and it has an SPF 15. I like it a lot and I will definitely repurchase.

The blush is gorgeous, it's such a beautiful bright bubble gum pink. It gives a perfect pink flush and it is quite pigmented. It's my favourite pink blush and I have quite a few. I used to have another shade called glow (untill mom broke it :O ) and that one was gorgeous too. As all products from their regular line it costs 1,7�. The only thing I don't like is the packaging, the way it opens is a bit complicated (that's how my mom broke it, she was trying to open it unsuccessfully). Simply a brilliant product.

Ne maram kaj pretirano tekocih pudrov, zelo redko ga nanesem po celem obrazu. Vecinoma ga nanesem le pod oci in ob strani nosa. Itak se mi zdi, da ne rabim neke mocne prekrivnost, zato sem iskala eno dobro obarvano kremo in mislim, da sem jo na�la. E.l.f.-ovo sem vzela v odtenku Ivory, je odlicen odtenek zame (itak je obarvana krema, tudi ce vzame� odtenek presvetlo/pretemno, bo verjetno �e vedno v redu). Je kar gosta krema, lahko prekrivna, izenaci ten ampak ne prekrije na primer peg. Ce nanese� �e eno plast prekrije kak�ne rahle podocnjake (moje ne, moji so precej temni oz. rdeci �e od vedno). Meni ne ma�i por, ceprav me je Caprylic/Capric Trigyceride na 2. mestu zaskrbel. Pusti svetlec fini�, meni je v�ec, z izjemo na celu, ki se sveti kot disko kugla, zato nanesem puder v prahu. Zdr�i precej dolgo, testiram jo �e 1 teden in definitvno zdr�i od 7h do 4h popoldne (potem je �e te�ko kaj dobro videti, glede na to da je tu �e tema, rumenim lucem pa ne zaupam). Di�i zelo prijetno (za razliko od E.l.f.-ove podlage v stiku), nekako pomarancno. Tubica je zelo majhna (12g, podatka o ml ni), meni je to vsec, ker jo nameravam nosit okoli. Stane 1,7� in ima ZF 15. Mislim, da jo bom �e kupila, meni se zelo dopade.

Blush je cudovit. Je roza barve z hladnim podtonom, zelo pigmentiran in da cudovito roza rdecico. Definitvno moj naljub�i roza blush,. Vcasih sem imela �e odtenek Glow, dokler ga mami ni razbila, ko ga je posku�ala odpret, namrec ima dokaj glup in enigmaticen sistem zapiranja. Stane 1,7�, je pa dokaj majhen. Meni je briljanten izdelek.

Haul - Hair Care and Dior Blush

I ran out of conditioners, so I bought a tube of my faithful Brilliant brunette conditioner by John Frieda and what seems to be a revamped Garnier Repair & Shine treatment. When I got home I noticed that they didn't revamp just the packaging, but also the formula. It's a bit thicker now, the colour is a bit darker, ingredients are basically the same, but the biggest difference are the added pieces of melting apricot (a gimmick if you ask me, feels odd when applying on the hair, almost like a scrub). However the effect is the same as with the old version, still an excellent product.

Zmanjkalo mi je balzamov, zato sem spet nabavila moj zvesti Brilliant Brunnete od John Frieda in Garnier Repair & Shine masko, kateri so spremenili embala�o in sestavo. Sestavine so pribli�no enake, je pa maska zdaj bolj gosta, malo temnej�e barve in ima neke (tako pi�e na embala�i) topljive delcke marelice (kaj je smisel njih mi ni jasno, je pa cuden filing ko nana�a� masko, nekako kot piling). Efekt je pa dejansko enak kot pri stari verziji, tako da ostaja na prestolu moje naljub�e maske.

I had a birthday last week, so my cousin got me a generous gift, namely Dior blush in the shade 829 Rose Drag�e. It's a really, really light pink, one side is mat, the other shimmery. I have a hard time for the color to actually show up (needs a couple of layers), but it gives a lovely light flush. It probably won't show up on people with medium and darker skin tones. The brush that comes with it is really bad.

Sestricna mi je za rojstni dan prinesla velikodu�no darilo Diorjev blush in odtenku 829 Rose Drag�e. Blush je zelo svetlo roza barve, polovica je mat, polovica pa ima ble�cice. Nanesti ga moram kar veliko, da se poka�e kaj barve, vseeno da lepo svetlo roza rdecico. Copic, ki je zraven, je res slab, grob in ima premalo scetin za kak�en bolj�i efekt.

 

Ombia Multicolored Rouge

I found it in Hoffer. Of course I didn't expect much, Hoffer is not renouned for high quality make up, but I like this blush. Swirled together looks a bit sheer, more of a highlighter type blush, but if I use only the darkest colour (which is really pigmented) it gives me a lovely peachy flush. The middle colour is an average highlighter, the bottom colour is a good subtle blush, but only if you're really pale. Packaging is surprisingly good, you get a decent sized mirror and a powder puff (which is of no use). Price was 3,99�, but it's limited edition.

Tale blush sem na�la v Hoffer-ju (mami me vedno heca, da sem zmo�na mejkap �e v Bauhausu najti, lol), seveda nisem pricakovala kaj dosti. Ce uporabim vse barve skupaj izgleda bolj kot osvetljevalec in ne kot blush, ce pa uporabim samo zgornjo, najtemnej�o barvo (ki je precej pigmentirana) dobim cudovito, breskovo barvo. Srednja barva je nekako povprecen osvetljevalec, spodnja barva je dober, svetel blush, ampak le za sneguljcice. Embala�a je presenetljivo dobra, zraven je ogledalo in gobica. Stal je 3,99�, ampak je LE.

Primerjava z Narsovim Deep throat. Se opro�cam za slabo kvaliteto, sonce je �e zahajalo. Na zadnji sliki nosim le najtemnej�o barvo.

Haul - Essence Sun Club Gloss and Silky Touch Blush in Adorable

Gloss:

As soon as I applied the gloss I regretted buying it. The colour looks so beautiful in the tube, however it's completely colourless on the lips. And not just that, also the texture is really, really bad. It's very watery, I hate it. I just don't get it, how some of their LE glosses are actually good (like the ones from Twilight TE), but the rest are just horrible.

Takoj ko sem nanesla glos mi je bilo �al da sem ga kupila. V embala�i izgleda barva tako lepa, ko pa ga nanese� je popolnoma prozoren. Ne le to, je tudi voden in neobstojen. Popolnoma brezvezen. Ni mi jasno kako so lahko glosi iz Trend editicij dejansko dobri (kot naprimer iz Twilight TE), ti ostali so pa tako slabi.

Blush:

Blush is from the We Saw it First TE, which is just a preview of the product that will be available from Autumn. It's so adorable. A pretty light pink, that looks slightly peachy on the cheeks. Such a lovely colour. I didn't expected it to be this pigmented,  I was really pleasantly surprised.

Rdecilo za lica je iz We Saw it First kolekcije, ki so izdelki ki bodo na voljo v prodaji od jeseni. Meni je tale blush zelo v�ec.  Je svetlo roza barve, ki na lickih potegne malo na breskovo. Nisem pricakovala, da bo tako pigmentiran. Me je prijetno presenetil.

Is a dark pink with golden shimmer. It was a part of a limited edition collection called Rose Garden by Alverde. 
Je temno rozast s zlatimi ble�cicami. Bil je del omejene izdaje imenovane Rose Garden od Alverde.

Alverde LE Rose Garden Rouge Stick #604 Rose Love

A blush stick in a dark rose colour. It's very hard to apply both on the lips as on the cheek. Staying power on the cheeks is poor, however on the lips it's decent, it leaves a lovely stain.
Rdecilo za lica v stiku v temno ro�nati barvi. Je zelo trd in ga je te�ko nanesti tako na ustnice kot na lica. Na licih je obstojnost slaba, na ustnicah je v redu, pusti lep stain efekt.

Essence Twilight LE Lipgloss in Lunch at Cullen's

A dark berry red, very pigmented. It smells divine, candy like. I love wearing it as a stain.
Temno malinasto rdece barve zelo pigmentiran. Di�i bo�ansko, sladko. Najraje ga nosim kot stain (zgornja slika).

Essence LE Denim Wanted Duo Eyeshadow # 02 My Boyfriend's Jeans

Consist of two colours: a light silver and dark violet. Both a quite pigmented, however staying power is really poor, especially the violet one disappears quickly.
Barvi v tem dvojcki sta srebra in temno vijolicna. Obe sta kar pigmentirani, vendar zelo neobstojni, �e posebej violicna.
