IsaDora Fanciful (Spring 2011) - Lipsticks and Blush Swatches

 

This collection has been out for quite a while. I must have passed the display a dozen times and never really looked at it. Well the visual alone repelled me. But recently Dazzledust25 did a rave video about the Glow stick blush and Pink parfait lipstick, so I finally checked this collection out. Jelly Kiss gel lipstick are completely new. There are four shades available (51 Bare bliss, 52 Rose blush, 53 Pink parfait and 54 Lilac tulle), they all look bright but the formula is sheer and glossy. I think they are very similar to their Cream gloss stylos.

Glow stick blusher in 10 Rose bud is a shimmery rosey-coraly shade. A light application doesn't give much colour, but more  of a highlighting effect, however this doesn't mean you need to use loads for it to show up. The formula is very creamy and easy to blend. It's a gorgeous shade for lighter skin tones, it really brightens the face, but it's also way to expensive for the amount you get (something like those blushes from Rose Garden collection by Alverde). Here it's a bit over 18� (Limoni), maybe it's cheaper somewhere else, at least I hope it is, I would love to have it.

Haul - New Lip Products From Essence

First of is the new shade of lipstick called 53 All About Cupcake, which is a pink slightly peachy shade, a beautiful neutral, everyday colour. Local Muller didn't have Coralize Me yet which is one of the new shades and interested me most. Swatches of shades 44 and 45 can be found here.

Prvi na vrsti je nov odtenek �minke 53 All About Cupcake, ki je roza z nekaj breskve, res lep nevtralen odtenek za vsak dan. Najbli�ji Muller �e ni imel odtenka Coralize Me, ki se �e zanima od novosti. Slike odtenkov 44 in 45 lahko najdete tu.

Stay with me is a new line of lipglosses, with 7 new shades. They introduce a new for of applicator, which I personally am not a fan of, but it works just fine. 01 Me & My Milkshake is a milky pink shade and a dupe of Nivea's Milkshake lipgloss and E.l.f.'s Bubble Gum. Staying power is average, they're not sticky, all in all just an average lipgloss, for the price a great product. The range of colour is nice, 02 My Favorite Milkshake is very similar to this one, just slightly peachier. They have a nice, faint fruity scent.

Stay with me so novi lipglosi v 7-ih odtenkih. Imajo novo vrsto aplikatorja, meni se kaj pretirano ne dopade, ampak deluje ok. 01 Me & My Milkshake je svetlo roza odtenek, identicen Nivejinemu Milkshake (btw Nivejina licila grejo iz prodaje) in E.l.f.-ovem Bubble Gum. Obstojnost je povprecna, niso lepljivi, v glavnem povprecni glosi, super za ceno. V�ec mi je izbor odtenkov, 02 My Favorite Milkshake je zelo podoben temu, le bolj breskov. Imajo rahel sadni vonj.

Essence also introduced a new shade of a lipliner called Coral Nude. I also purchased a shade Cute Pink and I previously owned Soft Rose.
Essence ima tudi nov odtenek liplinerja imenovan Coral Nude. Kupila sem �e odtenke Cute Pink, �e prej pa sem imela odtenek Soft Rose.

Make Up Factory True Lip Colour Lipsticks

Finally! A nice range of shades for a change. I like at least a half of the shades, all from 12 - 47 (without 28) are very nice and wearable colours. Make Up Factory is a high end brand available only in M�ller. These lipsticks cost 14,50 �. I bought the shade 47, which is very similar to Mac's Hue (my all-time favourite).

These are very nice. Quality wise I'd compare them to Mac's Glaze formula, not fully opaque but moisturizing, creamy and feel very comfortable on the lips. The shape of the lipstick is a bit odd, I don't really get the purpose of such shape. The packaging is very nice, a nice black, sleek, mat tube. Shade 47 is a light pink with peach tones, very similar to Hue by Mac, but Hue is lighter and has more pink in it. However once applied on the lips, the difference is negligible. I would imagine that on someone even a shade darker than me, you probably wouldn't be able to see the difference between the two. It doesn't have any particular scent, it's quite undetectable. Staying power is very similar to Mac's glaze formula, they last about 4 hours. These lipsticks contains jojoba in olive oil, vitamin C and E, and they're paraben and fragrance free.

 

Koncno ena linija �mink z dobrimi odtenki. V�ec mi je vsaj polovica, od 12 - 47 (brez 28) so zelo lepe in nosljive barve. So zelo dobre �minke, kvalitetne, zelo podobne Macovi glaze formuli. Niso polno prekrivne, imajo nekak�en kremen fini�, so kar vla�ilne, ampak niso mastne. Oblika �minke mi je misterij, je neka cudna prirezana oblika, katere namen mi ni jasen. Embala�a je super, zelo elegantna, mat, crna tuba, zelo kvalitetna. Odtenek 47 je svetlo roza z nekaj breskve, zelo podoben Macovi Hue, ampak Hue je bolj roza in svetlej�a. Vseeno ko jo nanese� na ustnice je razlika skoraj nezaznavna. Na nekomu, ki ima samo odtenek temnej�o polt kot jaz, se po moje razlike sploh ne bi opazilo. Nima kak�nega posebnega vonja, obstojnost je precej dobra, kak�ne 4 ure. �minke vsebujejo jojobino in olivno olje, vitamina C in E, ter so brez parabenov in di�av.

Haul + E.l.f. Lipstick Classy

I bought a couple of nail polishes this week. Both are from Essence, one is called Just Shout!, which is a orange-coral shade, the other is Choose Me!, which is a teal with shimmer. Swatches of Make Up Factory's lipstick will be posted shorty, but here are swatches of E.l.f.'s lipstick in the shade Classy, which my cousin gave to me (she dislikes the shade and feels a bit intimidated by a bit brighter colours :) )

Classy is a dark mauve pink with a mat finish. It's very thick (something like Barry M's lipstick), but it doesn't apply patchy. It's very pigmented, it stained my hand a little when I swatched it, so it is quite long lasting. It has a very sweet fruity-berry scent but mixed with plastic. The packaging looks very cheap and is of poor quality. If I compare them to Essence, which is in the same price range, E.l.f. one's are more opaque and last longer on the lips, the packaging of the Essence lipsticks is better and I still prefer them to E.l.f. one's. These cost 1,7 �. The swatch I made is very accurate, but bear in mind I'm very pale, so it might look lighter on you.

Classy je temnej�e roza barve z kar nekaj vijola tonov, ima mat fini�. To ni ena izmed lahko mazljivh �mink, vseeno pa se da lepo nanesti (v primerjavi z naprimer Barry M-ovo 147, ki je podobne teksture). Je zelo pigmentirana in kar precej obstojna. Ima nekak�en zelo sladek sadno-malinast vonj pome�an s plastiko. Embala�a je stra�no zanic in izgleda slabo narejeno. Ce jih primerjam z �minkami od Essence, so E.l.f.-ove bolj pigmentirane in bolj obstojne, ampak Essencove imajo bolj�o embala�o in manj vsiljiv vonj, osebno so mi �minke od Essence bolj v�ec.  E.l.f. �minke stanejo 1,7 �. Swatch zgoraj je precej dober, na meni izgleda tako temno. Vseeno pa imejte v mislih, da sem zelo svetla, tako da morda na vas ne bo izgledala tako temno.

Max Factor Color Collection Lipsticks

 

The range of colours may be large, but none of the shades appeal to me. I actually bought one years ago, but I sold it within a week. It was the shade 640 called Soft Suede and it looked so much pinker and lighter under the deceiving shop's lights.These are very pigmented, in fact they stained my hand. Seriously not even with soap the colours didn't wash of completely. Most of the shades are frosty, which I profoundly dislike, I think only the red shades don't have any shimmer. The red shades (812, 820) are actually really pretty. I think this is the first time I've seen a copper shade of lipstick (which btw looks as horrible as it sounds), I doubt shades 770 and 775 look good on anyone (they marked them here as appropriate for darker skin tones). If you like really light, nude shades, you won't find any here, especially if you're as pale as I am. All in all another completely unappealing range of shades for me, but quality-wise I remember them being quite long lasting. If you like frosty lipsticks this just might be the range for you.

�e ena linija �mink, katere odtenki se mi niti pribli�no ne dopadejo. Enkrat sem celo eno kupila, sicer je bilo to leta nazaj, pa �e prodala sem jo skoraj takoj. Odtenek je bil 640 Soft Suede, ki je seveda izgledal kompletno drugace v trgovini pod mocnimi lucmi, kot v naravni svetlobi. �minke so zelo pigmentirane, dejansko mi jih �e z milom ni uspelo popolnoma odstraniti (rdeci odtenki se �e vedno poznajo na roki, pa je �e pol dneva mimo). Velika vecina odtenkov ima frosty fini� (kar mi ni niti malo v�ec), se mi zdi da samo rdeci odtenki (812, 820) nimajo nobenega (vidnej�ega) �imra, slednja odtenka sta meni zelo lepa. Izbor vsebuje tudi dva bakrena odtenka (770, 775), ki sta za moje pojme brca v temo, komu taka odtenka pristajata mi �e ni cisto jasno (sta pa oznacena kot primerna za temnej�e polti). Ce so vam bolj v�ec kak�ni svetlej�i odtenki, jih tu pravzaprav ni, �e posebej ce ste tako svetli kot jaz (640 je na meni izgledala zelo temno roza). Za moj okus kompletno brezvezen nabor odtenkov, kar se pa kvalitete tice se jih spomnim kot precej obstojne.

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipsticks

I already swatched the Sweet Kiss Natural lipsticks and here are swatches of the regular Sweet Kiss line (the ones in the dark violet packaging). A couple are missing because they don't sell them here. I don't own any of the colour, I don't find any of them particularity appealing. If you're looking for a good tomato red lipstick 56 is a good choice. It's also the most pigmented of the bunch. 41 and 42 aren't as pigmented as the others and most contain light shimmer. The picture was taken outdoors in the sun like most of my pictures.

Slike Sweet Kiss Naturel �mink sem �e objavila, zdaj sem poslikala �e navadno Sweet Kiss linijo (s temno vijola pokrovckom). Drugje je na voljo 12 odtenkov, pri nas sem jih na�la 9. Sama nimam nobene Bourjoisove �minke, tako da ne morem podati ocene o kvaliteti, sicer pa mi noben odtenek ni kaj pretirano v�ec. Moti me da ima vecina odtenkov rahel �imer (najraje imam mat �minke, pac zgledajo najbolj naravno). Ce i�cete lepo �ivo, retro rdeco je 56 odlicen odtenek, je tudi najbolj pigmentiran v tej liniji. 41 in 42 sta najmanj pigmentirana, bolj pride do izraza �imer kot barva. Slikala sem na soncu, tako kot vecino mojih slik.

Mac & MNY Haul (Lipstick and Glosses)

Mac Creme Cup

Cr�me Cup is a light blue pink, it's a part of their cremesheen line. It's a very wearable, neutral everyday colour and with a very creamy, moisturizing formula. It has a signature Mac vanilla scent, I quite like it. What I don't like is the price tag. I got this one in Graz (Austria), where a Mac lipstick costs a whopping 18� (that's about 25$) and considering that the US customers pay only 14,5$ (or 10,5�), saying that it's overpriced is an understatement.

Mac Underage

Underage is a soft pale pink with subtle shimmer. As all Mac's lipglasses it's very thick and sticky, but stays on long. I love the colour, it's so pretty, I like it even more than Florabundance (however Jemma Kidd's Petal is still my favourite).

MNY 365

365 is a coral shade with golden shimmer, but not that pigmented. It has a really lovely sweet candy scent. The formula is quite thick and it's a bit sticky, but it's a suprisingly good gloss for the price (I believe it was about 2�). A great gloss for the price, especially if you compare it to other glosses in the same price range (looking at you Essence). They have a lovely range of shades, from the more demure shades to hot pinks. 

Deborah Atomic Red 09 and a Small Haul

I recently swatched most of the Atomic Red lipsticks from Deborah. This week I purchased a shade numbered 09. It a light pink with slight beige tones (on my lips almost a medium pink) with a cream finish. It's very creamy (unfortunately so creamy it settles in lines) and moisturising  It lasts long on the lips. The most similar shade I used to own is Jing-a-ling by Benefit, however this is a warm pink while Jing-a ling has blue undertones. It is also very similar to Runway pink by E.l.f., but 09 is darker.

Pred kratkim se swatchala vecino Deborinih Atomic Red �mink, sama sem kasneje kupila odtenek �tevilka 09. Je svetlo roza z nekaj be� toni z kremnim fini�em, zelo vla�ilna in precej obstojna. Na �alost je tako kremna, da se vsede v ''gubice'' ustnic, ampak je vseeno zelo dobra �minka v primerjavi z ostalimi za podobno ceno, ki se dobijo v Sloveniji. Od �mink, ki sem jih imela, je najbolj podobna Benefitovi Jing-a-ling in E.l.f.-ovi Runway pink (od slednje je temnej�a). Kupila sem jo v M�llerju za 8,59�.

In other news, I found a potential dupe for Mac's Hue lipstick (my favourite shade ever!). It's called True lip colour in shade 47 by Make up Factory (German high-end brand, I think it's only sold in M�ller). It's really, really similar. I think it about 14-15�, which is (if I remember correctly) cheaper than a Mac lipstick in Austria. I have pictures where I compared the two, but they turned out bad, so here a picture just with MUF 47.

Na�la sem nadomestek za Macovo Hue (moja najljub�a �minka ever) in to v M�llerju. Gre za True lip color �minko v odtenku 47 od Make up Factory. Je izjemno podobna Macovi Hue in �e cenej�a, kot ce bi jo �la kupit v Avstrijo, stane nekje 14-15�. Ko mi zmanjka Hue jo bom sigurno kupila.

I also purchased some falsies from Essence and a 15 ml bottle of Jean-Paul Grand fragrance called My Love purple.
Kupila sem �e par umetnih trepalnic od Essence in 15 ml steklenicko parfuma My Love vijola od Jean-Paul Grand.

I think My Love is the name of the collection of 4 fragrances (all are 15 ml). All were very nice (I might be purchasing another one), the light blue one is very similar to Miss Dior Cherie. The dark purple one that I bought is sort of similar to Marine Groove by Escada (my favourite fragrance). So far I've seen them only in M�ller. And they are really cheap, a mere 3� per bottle.

Kolikor mi uspelo videti je My Love neka kolekcija 4 parfumov (vsi po 15 ml), ne vem ce je omejena, sem jih pa videla v M�llerju. Stanejo po 3�, temno vijolicni, ki sem ga kupila je malo podoben Escadinem Marine Groove (moj najljub�i parfum). Svetlo moder se mi je zdel zelo podoben Miss Dior Cherie. Meni vsi zelo lepo di�ijo, mogoce kupim �e kak�nega.

Deborah Atomic Red Lipsticks

There's two types of Atomic Red lipsticks, one is a regular line (with 14 shades) and the other which consists of mat shades (7) is called Atomic Red Mat. The testers were a mess, the numbers were mixed up, some of the shades were missing, some had a different packaging, just really confusing. The only mat shade there was 09, but I have an older picture of mat shade 12, which is I believe a LE. The only shade that appeals to my taste is 09 (from the regular line, 2nd pic), it's a nice light to medium pink with a cream finish. 08 would be gorgeous, if it weren't frosty, but with all that frost it looks a bit cheap. I never owned a Deborah lipstick, but I am tempted to try 09 out. 12 (regular line) also looks nice. 01, 02 and 09 (mat) simply horrify me.

Manhattan Perfect Creamy & Care Lipsticks

 8 of the 9 shades (54L, which is another brown shade, is missing), taken in sunlight:

Manhattan has two lines of lipsticks, one is called X-treme Last & Shine (which has a wider selection of shades), the other one is Perfect Creamy & Care. Aside from LE shade Rosewood, I never owned a Manhattan lipstick. So I decided to swatch them, to see if any shade appeals to me. Well I was a bit disappointed, from 9 shades available, only two were pink (one of those, 57D which is a really bright bubble gum pink, is not particularity wearable) and more than half of the line consist of brownish shades (I really dislike brown shades). Two remaining shades are a really bright orange (34N, completely unwearable) and a tomato red (45N) The only shade that I would consider worth buying is 56L, which is a lovely light pink shade. All of the shades have a frost finish. I hope these swatches are useful.

Oriflame Lipstick Swatches

I need some help with identifying these lipsticks. My cousin gave me these, she got them as samples of to her unknown lipstick. Does anyone recognize these? I've done some investigation and I suspect they're called Pure Colour lipsticks, but I'm not sure. The numbers are odd too.

Rabim malo pomoci. Namrec dobila sem te Oriflamove �minke od sestricne in ona ne ve tocno katere so. Sama sem �e gledala po novem katalogu in predvidevam, da so Pure Colour �minke. �tevilke so mi zelo cudne in spodaj na dnu �mink so informacije zelo skope. A jih katera prepozna?

These aren't particurlary moisturizing, however also not particurlary drying. The two frosty shades don't stay long, but the two creamy one's aren't so bad.

�minke niso ne vem kako vla�ilne, ampak tudi ne izsu�ujejo. 2 odtenka sta frosty in sta bolj malo obstojna, druga dva sta kremna, ta dva sta bolj obstojna.

00008 - is a frosty lavender, not that pigmented, actually really unflattering shade. I wouldn't recommed this one. Essence 01 Frosty is really similar./ Sivka s frosty fini�em, ni kaj prevec pigmentirana, v bistvu se na ustnicah vidijo le ble�cice. Meni zelo nev�ecen odtenek, Essence 01 Frosty je zelo podoben odtenek.

00011 - is a pale bubble gum frosty shade, again not that pigmented (but more than 00008). Not my cup of tea (I really dislike frosty shades), it's similar to NYX Harmonica/ svetlo roza s frost finishem, ne prevec pigmentirana (vseeno bolj kot 00008). Meni ni v�ec, je pa podobna NYX-ovi Harmonici.

00012 - is a bright pink but slighly peachy with cream finish. The most wearable of the four, a really pretty shade and my favorite. I'd definitely recommend this one./ roza s malo breskve, kremni fini�. Najbolj primerna za vsakdanjik in moja naljub�a.  Priporocam (ce ugotovite kateri odtenek v katalogu dejansko je :) )

00007 - a bright pink, the darkest of the bunch. My second favourite, perfect if you like something a bit brighter. Another shade I'd recommend./ �ivo pink in najtemnej�a od �tirih. Moja druga najljub�a, super ce imate radi bolj �ive barve (vseeno ni prevec �iva). Priporocam.

Manhattan Rosewood Lipstick and Some Other Swatches

This week Manhattan's Nude Couture LE finally reached Slovenia. I didn't plan to buy anything, but Rosewood caught my eye (obviously under the deceiving shop lights. When will I learn?). Rosewood is a beige-rose, it almost mimics my natural lip colour. When I swatched on my hand it looked more peachy, I was a bit disappointed when I tried it on my lips. It's really moisturizing and it has a wonderful vanilla pudding scent. I already gave it to my mom, who adores the shade. I believe it was around 6�. I have to say something about the packaging, which is quite unique with the zebra print, I like it a lot.

Nude Couture je koncno pri�la na na�e police. Nisem imela namena kupiti nicesar iz te LE, po pravici povedano se mi je zdela ena izmed bolj dolgocasnih, vseeno so me DM-ove luci spet zavedle in vzela sem �minko v odtenku Rosewood. Ko sem jo preizkusila na dlani je izgledala bolj breskova, ko pa sem jo doma nanesla na ustnice, me je odtenek kar malo razocaral. Je skoraj identicna barva kot moja naravna barva ustnic, nekako be� (te�ko je opisati tako barvo). Je pa zelo vla�ilna in di�i cudovito (in precej mocno) po vanilijevem pudingu. Sem jo �e predala mami, njej je stra�no v�ec. Meni se vseeno najbolj dopade embala�a, zelo unikatna z zebrinim potiskom. Stala je okoli 6�.

And some more Manhattan swatches. I can't remember if I named that last lipstick correctly. I really like Wet Flash lipgloss in 45D. Swatches from Innen und Aussen blog click (fantastic blog btw) look appealing, but I already have shade 52A and I have to say that the packaging really bothers me, it's really bad.
�e nekaj Manhattanovih glosov in �minka. Za �minko nisem prepricana, ce sem napisal pravi odtenek. �e nekaj casa mi je zelo v�ec Wet Flash glos 45D, na slikah iz Innen und Aussen bloga klik  (super blog) izgleda lepo, ampak �e imam odtenek 52A in moram reci, da je embala�a izjemno slaba.

Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliners

I ordered a couple of things from Avon: two SuperShock gel eyeliners in black and plumful. The black one is absolutely the blackest eyeliner I ever tried and it has  fantastic staying power. It literally doesn't budge after it dries, which takes about half a minute, but blends nicely before it dries. Plumful is a nice plum colour, also very pigmented and soft, but the black one's performance is more impressive in my opinion. I seriously recommend these, however I heard these aren't the most suitable for contact wearers.

Narocila sem nekaj stvari preko Avona in sicer 2 SuperShock gel eyelinerja v crni in slivovi barvi imenovani Plumful. Crn je absolutno najbolj crn eyeliner kar sem jih imela in je neverjetno obstojen. Ko se posu�i, kar traja kak�ne pol minute, ga ne more� zbrisat z navadnim robckom (�e z vla�nim ga je zelo te�ko). Plumful je tudi zelo mehek in pigmentiran, vseeno mi je crn ljub�i. Oba res priporocam (crn je a must), sem pa sli�ala da niso najbolj�i za uporabnice lec, menda se primejo na lece.

Swatchi obeh. Na drugi sliki se ju slikala potem, ko sem ju posku�ala odstraniti z robckom (potem, ko sta se posu�ila). Crnega je treba hitro zabrisati, �e preden se posu�i, ce �elite bolj mehko crto.

Another thing I ordered was Clear Skin Pore Penetrating scrub, which I used to have in the old formulation, which was in my opinion way better than the new one. It smells minty,  the beads are medium sized (old formulation has bigger beads, which I loved). Still a decent scrub, I like it.

Druga stvari, ki sem jo narocila je Clear Skin Pore Penetrating piling. Vcasih se ta piling imela �e v stari embala�i, preden so prenovili celo kolekcijo, in mi je bil tisti bolj v�ec. Di�i mentolasto, je tudi take barve, zrnca so srednje velika (stari je imel vecja zrnca in mi je bil zato bolj v�ec). Vseeno je zelo dober piling, meni je v�ec.

And my yesterday's purchase L'Oreal Color Riche Serum in S100 Satin Pink. I already swatched this one a couple of month ago (swatches can be found here). It's really moisturizing, has good pigmentation, staying power is ok (but it can't compare to Manhattan's soft mat creams), but it's to expensive for drugstore lippie (12,5�).

Vceraj sem si koncno privo�cila �e L'Oreal Color Riche Serum in S100 Satin Pink. To �minko sem �e slikala na ustnicah, slike so tukaj. Je pa precej vla�ilna, dobro pigmentirana in nekje srednje obstojna (Manhattanov-i Soft Mat Cream-i so mi dvignili standard :) ). Je kar draga, stane 12,5�.

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel Lipstick Swatches + Some Givenchy & Deborah

Bourjois has a new range of lipstick called Sweet Kiss Naturel. Quoted from their website: ''It's formula of 100% natural origin bring radiance and care to the lips.'' They felt a bit drying when I swatched them and they have a semi-mat finish, none of the shades contains shimmer (yay!). I like 05 and 06 a lot. 05 look really dark in the tube, but it applies quite sheer raspberry colour, kind of similar to how Barry M's Touch of Magic looks on me.

The other 2 lipsticks that I swatched are Givenchy Rouge Interdit in 11 (a light bubble gum pink) and Deborah Atomic Red Matt in 12 (matt beige nude)

Essence lipsticks are medium pigmented and very moisturizing. They feel more like tinted lip balms (however much more pigmented than Nivea's Labello). Some colours are shimmery, some are not, I prefer the non-shimmery ones. Almost Famous is a non-shimmery bright red and This Is Me is a bright pink also without shimmer. Both are extremely wearable colours.

Kljub temu da izgledata zelo �ivo v tubi, na ustnicah izpadeta zelo nosljivo.
