Manhattan Perfect Creamy & Care Lipsticks

Manhattan has two lines of lipsticks, one is called X-treme Last & Shine (which has a wider selection of shades), the other one is Perfect Creamy & Care. Aside from LE shade Rosewood, I never owned a Manhattan lipstick. So I decided to swatch them, to see if any shade appeals to me. Well I was a bit disappointed, from 9 shades available, only two were pink (one of those, 57D which is a really bright bubble gum pink, is not particularity wearable) and more than half of the line consist of brownish shades (I really dislike brown shades). Two remaining shades are a really bright orange (34N, completely unwearable) and a tomato red (45N) The only shade that I would consider worth buying is 56L, which is a lovely light pink shade. All of the shades have a frost finish. I hope these swatches are useful.

Manhattan Rosewood Lipstick and Some Other Swatches

This week Manhattan's Nude Couture LE finally reached Slovenia. I didn't plan to buy anything, but Rosewood caught my eye (obviously under the deceiving shop lights. When will I learn?). Rosewood is a beige-rose, it almost mimics my natural lip colour. When I swatched on my hand it looked more peachy, I was a bit disappointed when I tried it on my lips. It's really moisturizing and it has a wonderful vanilla pudding scent. I already gave it to my mom, who adores the shade. I believe it was around 6�. I have to say something about the packaging, which is quite unique with the zebra print, I like it a lot.

Nude Couture je koncno pri�la na na�e police. Nisem imela namena kupiti nicesar iz te LE, po pravici povedano se mi je zdela ena izmed bolj dolgocasnih, vseeno so me DM-ove luci spet zavedle in vzela sem �minko v odtenku Rosewood. Ko sem jo preizkusila na dlani je izgledala bolj breskova, ko pa sem jo doma nanesla na ustnice, me je odtenek kar malo razocaral. Je skoraj identicna barva kot moja naravna barva ustnic, nekako be� (te�ko je opisati tako barvo). Je pa zelo vla�ilna in di�i cudovito (in precej mocno) po vanilijevem pudingu. Sem jo �e predala mami, njej je stra�no v�ec. Meni se vseeno najbolj dopade embala�a, zelo unikatna z zebrinim potiskom. Stala je okoli 6�.

Swatches from Innen und Aussen blog click (fantastic blog btw) look appealing, but I already have shade 52A and I have to say that the packaging really bothers me, it's really bad.

Manhattan Soft Mat Cream in 54L

I couldn't resist buying another one of Manhattan's Soft Mat Creams. I just adore them (I previously raved about them here and here). So here are swatches of 54L, which is a dusty rose colour. Isn't it gorgeous?

Nisem se mogla upreti, da ne bi kupila �e enega izmed Manhattan Soft Mat Cream-ov. Obo�ujem jih, o njih sem pisala �e tukaj in tukaj. Evo �e slike odtenka 54L, ki je temno roza. A ni lep?

Alverde Gel-Eyeliner 046  Mareike

Alverde recently released LE called My Best Friend which includes several gel eyeliners, lipsticks, eyeliner brush and eyeshadow palettes. I bought eyeliner brush (second one, I like this brush a lot) and eyeliner in the shade 046 Mareike, which is a petrol blue. Consistency is really weird, hair gel like. I hard to apply it nice. I thought the staying power will be an issue, but it drys fast and it stays on reasonably well. The colour is so pretty, but if I knew what the consistency's like, I probably wouldn't buy it.

Alverde je pred kratkim postavil na police novo omejeno kolekcijo imenovano My Best Friend, ki vsebuje gel eyelinerje, �minke, paletke s sencili in copic za eyeliner. Kupila sem �e drugi copic (meni je zelo v�ec) in gel eyeliner v odtenku 046 Mareike, ki je petrolno modre barve. Je pa zelo cudne konsistence, nekako tak kot gel za lase. Ravno zato sem sumila, da ne bo obstojen, pa se zacuda hitro posu�i in tam tudi ostane. Vseeno je te�ko naredi lepo crto. Barva je lepa, vseeno pa ga verjetno ne bi kupila, ce bi vedela kak�en je. 

Manhattan Soft Mat Lipcreams

I already raved about these lipcreams, which are amazing. They feel like liquid lipsticks, are very pigmented, and dry mat. I recently purchased shade called 53M, which is peachy-pink. Swatches of 45H and 56K can be found here. Today I swatched all 6 colours available together and I think I'll also buy 54L. They are about 6-7� and are quite heavily scented, the smell like vanilla ice cream.

V eni izmed prej�njih objav sem �e govorila kako obo�ujem Manhattanove Soft Mat Lipcream-e (slike odtenkov 56K in 45H so tukaj). So kot tekoce �minke, zelo pigmentirane in prekrivne, posu�ijo se mat. Nazadnje sem kupila �e odtenek 53K, ki breskove barve. Na voljo je 6 odtenkov (spodnja slika), mislim da bo kupila �e odtenek 54L. Stanejo nekaj cez 6�. So zelo odi�avljeni, meni di�ijo po vanilijem sladoledu.

Manhattan, Lush, L'Occitane

Manhattan Magic Duo eyeshadow in Chrystal Plum is a part of LE called Diamonds are a Girls... I love, love, love the darker colour (darkened plum) and they are both really pigmented, but staying power is incredibly poor (no matter what I use underneath). It starts fading so fast, what a pity. The plum eyeshadow is matte, the lighter pinkish eyeshadow has some sparkles.

Temnej�a, slivova sencka mi je izjemno v�ec, vendar pa kljub temu da sta precej pigmentirani, sta zelo neobstojni in hitro zbledita, pa ni va�no kaj uporabim pod sencko. �koda. Temnej�a sencka je mat, svetlej�a ima nekaj ble�cic.

I went to Lush a couple of week ago, because I really wanted one of their bubble bars. I chose the one from their Christmas collection. It's called Candy Cane in it smell exactly as the Snow Fairy shower gel and Cream Candy bubble bar (smells something like a bubble gum). I wanted to make the most of it, so I cut it in 4 pieces. I used one when I took my bath and it turned out that was simply to little, there was almost no foam. I guess you can't really can't be stingy with this one.
Nekaj tednov nazaj sem obiskala Lush, ker sem si res za�elela eno izmed njihovih penecih kopeli. Vzela sem Candy Cane iz bo�icne kolekcije in di�i enako kot snow Fair tu� gel ali Cream Candy peneca kopel (nekako po cugimijih). Hotela sem jo imeti za cim veckrat, zato sem jo narezala na 4 dele, pa se je izkazalo da cetrtina ni dovolj. Pene je bilo zelo malo, drugic bom uporabila vec. �koda, ker je precej draga, ce jo ima� lahko samo za 2x.

L'Occitane Almond Shower oil is one of my favourite products of all time. The scent is absolutely gorgeous, I can't help myself not sniffing it all the time. Oh, if only there was a fragrance with such scent. Too bad it's so expensive (16,50 �), but it's worth every cent. It's an oil that when applied on wet skin, transforms into a thick foam. The scent lingers on the skin for quite some time, I do still smell it in the morning.

L'Occitanovo mandljevo olje za tu�iranje je eden izmed mojih najljub�ih izdelkov ever. Di�i absolutno bo�ansko, ne morem ga nekah ovohavat. �koda, da je tako drag (16,50�), ampak je vreden vsaj zaradi vonja. Olje se spremeni v gosto peno, ko ga nasemo na mokro ko�o. Vonj se obdr�i kar nekaj casa.

Ysl Lipsticks and Manhattan Nail Stickers

I went on a search for the elusive YSL Rouge Pur lipstick in 148. Unfortunately I couldn't find it, which is funny because they had it in May. However, I swatched some other lighter shades they have, none strikes me as particularly interesting, perhaps 146 is the closest to my type of shades.

Haul Deborah and Manhattan

Deborah Kohl Kajal

It's a part of a new Deborah collection, the name of which eluded me. It's very pigmented, easy to smudge and it never needs sharpening. However it was about 10 �, which is very expensive, considering that Sleek makeup sells the same thing for �3.99.

Kohl je del nove kolekcije od Deborah, katere ime se ne spomnim (lol). Je prvi eyeliner take oblike pri nas, vsaj kolikor sem jaz na tekocem. Je zelo pigmentiran, se ga lahko zabri�e in ga ni potrebno �iliti. Bil je 10 �, Sleek (britanska znamka) ima enak eyeliner za 4 funte.

I bought 2 of the Mat Lipcreams named 56K and 45H (95G is a beige-brown colour, which is soo not my colour):

These are GORGEOUS. They are supposed to be lip glosses, however, they feel more like liquid lipsticks. They provide a full-coverage, mat colour with amazing lasting power. They have a very strong sweet scent, which reminds me of banana yoghurt  Give them a try if you have a chance, because they are amazing. They were about 7� each.

Ti glosi so CUDOVITI. So bolj kot tekoce �minke, polnoprekrivni in majo mat fini�, ter so izjemno obstojni. Imajo zelo mocen sladek vonj, ki me �e najbolj spominja na bananin jogurt. Ce imate mo�nost in jih definitivno preizkusite, so vredne tistih 6-7 �.

Artdeco

Lip Brilliance gloss from Beauty Desire collection:

A gorgeous raspberry red lipgloss which is very pigmented.
Cudovit malinasto rdec glos, ki je zelo pigmentiran.

Artdeco 233 is in the same colour family as Mac's Patina, actually it's almost a dupe.
Artdeco 233 je zelo podobna Macovi Patini. Ni popolnoma enaka, je pa zelo dober pribli�ek.

I love Artdeco eyeshadows. I would compare them with Mac both in terms of pigmentation and staying power. However, they come in very small pots and they are very soft, therefore they don't last nearly as long as Mac's.

I regret not buying Alverde's eyeshadows in Green jewel and Intensive turquise, they are both so beautiful. L'oreal Color Riche has a new range of lipstick (I think they might be called anti-aging, I'm not really sure), anyway that swatched pink lipstick is gorgeous. I bought both swatched Manhattan's Soft Mat Cream and I absolutely love them. I'll swatch them tomorrow.

Ob�alujem, da nisem kupila modre in zelene sencke od Alverde, res sta lepi. L'Orealova �minka je del neke nove kolekcije, sama se jo videla v DM-u. Kupila sem obe Manhattanovi Soft Mat Cream tekoci �minki, ki sta slikani zgoraj in sta absolutno fantasticni. Ju poslikam jutri.

Manhattan Long Lasting Gloss Glide # 531

I�ve been neglecting this little baby. It�s such a pretty bright red with silver shimmer, I just love the colour. It�s quite thick, slightly sticky and very pigmented.  Staying power is actually quite good. The packaging is so cute, a small squared tube with 5 ml of product. The smell is a bit plasticy. It costs a bit over 6 �.

Tale glos sem kar malo zanemarjala. Je cudovite �ivo rdece barve z srebrnim �imrom, res lep. Precej gost, malo lepljiv in zelo pigmentiran. Je pravzaprav precej obstojen. Embala�a je lu�kana mala kvadratasta tubica, ki vsebuje 5 ml izdelka. Glos di�i malo po plastiki. Stane nekaj cez 6 �.

Essence Creamylicious 02 Raspberry Smoothie

This one was a part of TE called Creamylicious. It�s a sheer raspberry red with no shimmer.

Bil je del TE Creamylicious. Je rahlo prekrivna malinasto rdeca brez ble�cic.

Hawaian Tropic Island Berry

Is a bright red in the tube, but it�s very sheer on the lips and adds just a touch of colour. It smells divine, very sweet and fruity, like some sort of berries. It also tastes sweet, but is has this horrible plastic aftertaste. It has a spf 25 (UVA&UVB). The tube is massive, it packs a generous amount of 20 ml. It costs around 5 �.

V tubi gleda �ivo rdec, na ustnicah pa le malenkost obarva. Di�i cudovito sladko-sadno, po nekih jagodah. Okus je sladek, ampak se potem zacuti tak grozen plasticen okus. Ima spf 25 (UVA&UVB). Tuba je ogromna, vsebuje radodarnih 20 ml. Kupila sem ga v DM-u za okrog 5 �.


Nyx Jumbo Lip Pencil Deep Red

My favourite red.  It�s a darker red with no shimmer, but looks a bit glossy. Very easy to apply, very creamy, not dry at all. A little goes a long way, I only have to colour in my lower lip and then press them together. Great staying power.

Absolutno moja naljub�a rdeca. Je temnej�a rdeca brez �imra, ampak kar malo glosasta. Zelo lahko jo je nanesti, je zelo kremna in niti najmanj suha. Potrebno jo je nanesti zelo malo, saj je zelo pigmentirana. Jaz jo nanesem le na spodnjo ustnico, potem pa pritisnem ustnice skupaj. Je super obstojna.

Artdeco High Rouge #10

It�s really pigmented, dry and hard to apply (hence the horrible swatch). I just dab it on the lips. It�s more of a brown red, quite dark. Not one of my favourites.

Je zelo pigmentirana, suha in jo je zelo te�ko nanesti. Jaz jo le potapkam na ustnice. Je bolj rjavkasta rdeca, precej temna. Ni ena izmed moji najljub�ih.

Manhattan Water Flash Lipgloss 52A and Long Lasting Gloss Glide 52K

Manhattan has a new limited edition called Wet Shot. It introduces 5 new shades of Wet Flash lipglosses and 3 shades of nail polishes (nail polishes are LE, glosses aren't).

I have the one named 52A, which is a light nude without shimmer, the lightest in the collection. However it's really poorly pigmented, it barely shows up and it's really difficult to build it up. They feel very watery and slippery. The scent of the gloss reminds me of a children's medicine syrup called Ospen. Staying power is poor and the packaging leeks.

Imam odtenek imenovan 52A, ki je svetle, ko�ne barve brez ble�cic, je nasvetlej�i v zbirki. Je zelo slabo pigmentiran, te�ko ga je nanesti toliko da se pozna kaj barve. Po konsistenci je zelo voden, vonj me spominja na otro�ki sirup Ospen. Obstojnost je slaba. Meni embala�a pu�ca.

Long Lasting Gloss Glide 52K is much more pigmented than Water Flash 52A, however I'm

not really fond of the colour. It's a bit strange because it contains a lot of silver shimmer, which in my opinion looks a bit unflattering.
