Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, Essence Stay All Day Concealer and Lancome Color Ideal

I don't really wear much foundation (I'm more of a tinted moisturiser + a bit of concealer kind of girl) and I usually have only one bottle at a time. I've had a bottle of Lancome's Color Ideal for more years that I care to admit, but now I'm determined to finally use it up and it is nearing it's end. So I've been on a search for a new foundation, one that's light enough and has a sheer to medium coverage. Originally I wanted the Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua, but I ended up buying Bourjois' Healthy Mix Serum instead.

Healthy Mix Serum provides a lighter coverage than it's 'sibling' Healthy Mix. I found that Bourjois Healthy Mix range is one of the very rare ones that has light enough shades to suit me. My first impressions about HM Serum are that I love it. It makes my skin look so natural, healthy and luminous. It evens out my skin tone, however it doesn't cover my under eye circles or blemishes (I don't mind though, I'll use concealer anyway). The shade 51 is perfect for me (yay!). It's a very light formula, you don't even feel you have anything on your skin. It feels very comfortable. The formula is a bit runny, but not as much as Lancome Color Ideal one's. I just love the fact that it looks like your skin, like you have nothing on. That's one great foundation. However if you're very oily, you might not like it, because it's very luminous (I intend to powder the T-zone). The packaging is great, a slim glass bottle with a pump.

I got  a sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 which is the lightest shade in beige category. (by got I mean brought my own little jar and filled my own sample, of course trying to avoid detection. Samples are just not for granted here in Slovenia, even if you spend a fortune). Unfortunately it's a bit to dark for me. I'm very upset about this, because it's a fantastic foundation. It just looks so natural and great. Still once it was blended on my skin it really wasn't that obvious that the shade is too dark (because similar as Color Ideal it sort of adapts, but I still didn't want to risk it). I  have some of the sample left, so I'll try it on again and decide how I feel about it, but for now I'm happy with Healthy Mix Serum.

Lancome Color Ideal is a great foundation. It has everything I'm looking for in a foundation - sheer to medium coverage, lasts through the day and most importantly it looks very natural. It doesn't give that retouched finish but it just makes your skin look amazing and very healthy looking (but only providing you don't have any dry patches, it just emphasizes them unfortunately). The shade I have is 004 and sadly I just can't find this shade anywhere any more  I have a neutral skin tone and this shade was the most neutral shade I ever found (however it was still a bit more yellow). The best part of this foundation is how amazingly it adapts to your skin. The minute after application it still looks quite obvious, but after a few minutes it just blends in with your skin tone. The formula is very runny. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump. I like the pump, it's makes it very easy to squeeze only a little amount. The price here in Slovenia is outrageous, it's even more expensive that Chanel foundations. I would image that most people wouldn't like it, just because it doesn't cover much, but I really don't need much coverage. I wouldn't recommend it to people with dry skin, it's not particularly moisturising.

I bought Stay All Day concealer for my mother, but naturally I had to try it out. It's actually a good concealer. It doesn't have that much coverage as Healthy Mix concealer (probably one of the best drugstore concealer in terms of coverage and of course light enough shades), but it does cover under eye circles quite well. I also used it on a blemish, it wasn't perfect but it looked ok. It has a doe foot applicator which is handy. The formula is quite thick. Shade 10 Natural beige is light enough even for me. The only issue I have is that it blends kind of odd. It's about 2-3� which is a bargain, compared to HM which is around 7�. Here's a picture of how well it covers my redness under the eyes?:

Latest Haul - Escada, L'Oreal and Bourjois

 

I love the sweet, fruity, summery LE fragrances from Escada (last years's Marine Groove is my favourite fragrance ever!). The most recent is called Taj Sunset and it smells like mangos, I adore it. Note include ''Alphonso mango, nectarine and blood orange as top notes, the heart features aquatic flowers with raspberry and pomarosa or Malay apple. The base consists of coconut, sandalwood and musk.'' (From Fragrantica.com). 

My L'Oreal Voluminous mascara dried up and I just hated the way the formula thickened towards the end. I had to wipe off a lot of the product from the brush, otherwise it would look like a disaster. So I bought a new mascara, this time Million Lashes with extra black formula. It's another one with a rubbery brush, which I prefer. I find it an average mascara, it works the same as all other mascaras with the plastic brushes (and I've tried almost all on the market, from HE to drugstore). It gives length and it defines the lashes, which is what I'm looking for. It a good daytime mascara, but if you're looking for volume try Voluminous instead. The brush is too big in my opinion, I manage to poke myself in the eye regularly when using it (the same thing happened to me with the False Lashes by Max Factor).

I've already posted the swatches of 3D Max line here and the swatch of 62 Rose gold, which I already used up. So here is the swatch of 61 Rose Acidul�. It a light to medium pink with a bit of coral tones. It's very shinny, but it doesn't contain a lot of shimmer like shade 62, here the shimmer is much more subtle. This swatch is the very accurate (I'm very pale btw, somewhere around NC 15).

Bourjois Effet 3D Max Lip Glosses

Next on my swatching list are Effet 3D Max lip glosses by Bourjois. I already owned and used up shade 62 Rose gold (swatches can be found here) and I recently bought shade 61 Rose Acidul� (I will post swatches of it in a few days). Shades 64 and 65 are missing, I guess they aren't sold here anymore, 64 is a beautiful red called Framboise ardent. These are very shinny but also very runny. They aren't sticky and because they are thinner than other run-of-the-mill glosses, they tend to bleed a bit. The applicator is unusual, it's a plastic spatula, I like it, some don't. Here they cost around 10-11�.

O teh glossih sem �e pisala, no vsaj o odtenku 62 Rose gold (slike in ocena so tukaj), ki sem ga �e porabila. Nedavno sem kupila �e odtenek 61 Rose acidul� (poslikala ga bom v kratkem), ki ga zanimivo kar dolgo nisem nikjer na�la. Ni mi uspelo najti odtenkov 64 in 65, kar je cudno saj so oba �e imeli. 64 Framboise ardent je zelo lep rdec gloss, takrat ko sem kupila odtenek 62, sem razmi�ljala tudi o nakupu 64. Ti glosi so zelo svetleci in nelepljivi, so namrec zelo tekoci, vcasih kar malo zdrsi z ustnic. Plasticen aplikator je precej nenavaden, meni osebno je v�ec ampak marsikateri ni. Stanejo okrog 10-11�.

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipsticks

I already swatched the Sweet Kiss Natural lipsticks and here are swatches of the regular Sweet Kiss line (the ones in the dark violet packaging). A couple are missing because they don't sell them here. I don't own any of the colour, I don't find any of them particularity appealing. If you're looking for a good tomato red lipstick 56 is a good choice. It's also the most pigmented of the bunch. 41 and 42 aren't as pigmented as the others and most contain light shimmer. The picture was taken outdoors in the sun like most of my pictures.

Slike Sweet Kiss Naturel �mink sem �e objavila, zdaj sem poslikala �e navadno Sweet Kiss linijo (s temno vijola pokrovckom). Drugje je na voljo 12 odtenkov, pri nas sem jih na�la 9. Sama nimam nobene Bourjoisove �minke, tako da ne morem podati ocene o kvaliteti, sicer pa mi noben odtenek ni kaj pretirano v�ec. Moti me da ima vecina odtenkov rahel �imer (najraje imam mat �minke, pac zgledajo najbolj naravno). Ce i�cete lepo �ivo, retro rdeco je 56 odlicen odtenek, je tudi najbolj pigmentiran v tej liniji. 41 in 42 sta najmanj pigmentirana, bolj pride do izraza �imer kot barva. Slikala sem na soncu, tako kot vecino mojih slik.

Bourjois 3D Effet

These are a new addition to the 3D Effet line of glossess by Bourjois (here are pictures from their official fb page). I don't know if they're replacing the previous  3D Effet line. These have a brush applicator and they all contain heavy shimmer (except 18, which is a clear gloss). They seemed quite thick when I swatched them, they're advertised as being ultra glossy, which they are. 48 is very similar to 62 Rose gold from their 3D Max line.

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel Lipstick Swatches + Some Givenchy & Deborah

Bourjois has a new range of lipstick called Sweet Kiss Naturel. Quoted from their website: ''It's formula of 100% natural origin bring radiance and care to the lips.'' They felt a bit drying when I swatched them and they have a semi-mat finish, none of the shades contains shimmer (yay!). I like 05 and 06 a lot. 05 look really dark in the tube, but it applies quite sheer raspberry colour, kind of similar to how Barry M's Touch of Magic looks on me.

The other 2 lipsticks that I swatched are Givenchy Rouge Interdit in 11 (a light bubble gum pink) and Deborah Atomic Red Matt in 12 (matt beige nude)

Artdeco

Lip Brilliance gloss from Beauty Desire collection:

A gorgeous raspberry red lipgloss which is very pigmented.
Cudovit malinasto rdec glos, ki je zelo pigmentiran.

Artdeco 233 is in the same colour family as Mac's Patina, actually it's almost a dupe.
Artdeco 233 je zelo podobna Macovi Patini. Ni popolnoma enaka, je pa zelo dober pribli�ek.

I love Artdeco eyeshadows. I would compare them with Mac both in terms of pigmentation and staying power. However, they come in very small pots and they are very soft, therefore they don't last nearly as long as Mac's.

I regret not buying Alverde's eyeshadows in Green jewel and Intensive turquise, they are both so beautiful. L'oreal Color Riche has a new range of lipstick (I think they might be called anti-aging, I'm not really sure), anyway that swatched pink lipstick is gorgeous. I bought both swatched Manhattan's Soft Mat Cream and I absolutely love them. I'll swatch them tomorrow.

Ob�alujem, da nisem kupila modre in zelene sencke od Alverde, res sta lepi. L'Orealova �minka je del neke nove kolekcije, sama se jo videla v DM-u. Kupila sem obe Manhattanovi Soft Mat Cream tekoci �minki, ki sta slikani zgoraj in sta absolutno fantasticni. Ju poslikam jutri.

Bourjois Effet 3D Max # 62 Rose Gold

I just love the visual for this gloss:

Rose gold is one of the 6 shades under the name Effet 3D. Bourjois claims these glosses add up to 33% more shine than other glosses on the market and  they introduce a new form of applicator - a plastic spatula. It's certanly shiny, but in my opinion not nearly as shiny as DiorKiss. The gloss feels quite ''slippery'', it just glides over the lips and it's not sticky at all. I love the plastic applicator, it deposit just the right amount of product. Rose gold is a light coral pink with golden shimmer, however, it's not that pigmented. It looks amazing over a pale lipstick. Staying power is decent, nothing revolutionary for a drugstore gloss. I got it for about 6� with 50% discount, I think they are about 11�.

Rose gold je eden izmed 6 odtenkov pod imenom Effet 3D. Bourjois trdi, da ti glosi dodajo 33% vec sijaja kot ostali glosi na tr�i�cu, prav tako predstavljajo novost med aplikatorji, namrec ti glosi imajo plasticen aplikator.  Meni osebno je zelo v�ec, saj se z njim da zelo lepo nanesti gloss. Je res zelo sijoc, ampak se ne pribli�a Diorjevemu DiorKiss. Gloss lepo zdrsi po ustnicah in ni niti malo lepljiv. Rose gold je svetlo koralno roza barve z zlatimi ble�cicami, ki ni kaj dosti pigmentiran, ampak zgleda super cez svetlo �minko. Obstojnost je v redu, nic revolucionarnega za glos nizkega cenovnega razreda. Kupila sem ga za okrog 6� s kuponom za 50% popust, mislim da je normalna cena okrog 11�.
