Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, Essence Stay All Day Concealer and Lancome Color Ideal

I don't really wear much foundation (I'm more of a tinted moisturiser + a bit of concealer kind of girl) and I usually have only one bottle at a time. I've had a bottle of Lancome's Color Ideal for more years that I care to admit, but now I'm determined to finally use it up and it is nearing it's end. So I've been on a search for a new foundation, one that's light enough and has a sheer to medium coverage. Originally I wanted the Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua, but I ended up buying Bourjois' Healthy Mix Serum instead.

Healthy Mix Serum provides a lighter coverage than it's 'sibling' Healthy Mix. I found that Bourjois Healthy Mix range is one of the very rare ones that has light enough shades to suit me. My first impressions about HM Serum are that I love it. It makes my skin look so natural, healthy and luminous. It evens out my skin tone, however it doesn't cover my under eye circles or blemishes (I don't mind though, I'll use concealer anyway). The shade 51 is perfect for me (yay!). It's a very light formula, you don't even feel you have anything on your skin. It feels very comfortable. The formula is a bit runny, but not as much as Lancome Color Ideal one's. I just love the fact that it looks like your skin, like you have nothing on. That's one great foundation. However if you're very oily, you might not like it, because it's very luminous (I intend to powder the T-zone). The packaging is great, a slim glass bottle with a pump.

I got  a sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 which is the lightest shade in beige category. (by got I mean brought my own little jar and filled my own sample, of course trying to avoid detection. Samples are just not for granted here in Slovenia, even if you spend a fortune). Unfortunately it's a bit to dark for me. I'm very upset about this, because it's a fantastic foundation. It just looks so natural and great. Still once it was blended on my skin it really wasn't that obvious that the shade is too dark (because similar as Color Ideal it sort of adapts, but I still didn't want to risk it). I  have some of the sample left, so I'll try it on again and decide how I feel about it, but for now I'm happy with Healthy Mix Serum.

Lancome Color Ideal is a great foundation. It has everything I'm looking for in a foundation - sheer to medium coverage, lasts through the day and most importantly it looks very natural. It doesn't give that retouched finish but it just makes your skin look amazing and very healthy looking (but only providing you don't have any dry patches, it just emphasizes them unfortunately). The shade I have is 004 and sadly I just can't find this shade anywhere any more  I have a neutral skin tone and this shade was the most neutral shade I ever found (however it was still a bit more yellow). The best part of this foundation is how amazingly it adapts to your skin. The minute after application it still looks quite obvious, but after a few minutes it just blends in with your skin tone. The formula is very runny. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump. I like the pump, it's makes it very easy to squeeze only a little amount. The price here in Slovenia is outrageous, it's even more expensive that Chanel foundations. I would image that most people wouldn't like it, just because it doesn't cover much, but I really don't need much coverage. I wouldn't recommend it to people with dry skin, it's not particularly moisturising.

I bought Stay All Day concealer for my mother, but naturally I had to try it out. It's actually a good concealer. It doesn't have that much coverage as Healthy Mix concealer (probably one of the best drugstore concealer in terms of coverage and of course light enough shades), but it does cover under eye circles quite well. I also used it on a blemish, it wasn't perfect but it looked ok. It has a doe foot applicator which is handy. The formula is quite thick. Shade 10 Natural beige is light enough even for me. The only issue I have is that it blends kind of odd. It's about 2-3� which is a bargain, compared to HM which is around 7�. Here's a picture of how well it covers my redness under the eyes?:

Pupa Luminys Blush 07 and Essence 73 Replay

Pupa Luminys velvety baked blush 07 - I found these blushes in Limoni. Honestly, I had no idea Pupa has baked blushes that look similar to Mac's MSF. There are 6 shades available, 3 are bronze-golden shades, 06 was a pink with some purple (pink with a blue undertone), 07 is a pink and 08 is a bright coral but on my skin it looked very orange. These have a very luminous finish, however I actually didn't find them more luminous than Benefit's Coralista or NARS Orgasm. 07 looks like a mix of NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat on my skin tone, pink but with some peach, a fantastic shade for someone as pale as me. The packaging looks so cheap though. It's a mix of clear and milky plastic, honestly I would expect something like that from a blush for a couple of � and not for 20. However it's sturdy, you don't have the feeling that the lid might broke off at any moment. The little brush that comes with it (it's not in any of the pictures) is surprisingly useful. It lasted all day on me, it loses a bit of brightness, but still looks ok (as far as longevity goes Coralista wins hand down). All in all a great blush, but the packaging needs some upgrading.

Replay is one of the new shades of Essence's Multi Dimension XXXL Shine nail polishes. It another turquoise/teal shade that I love. This one has more green in it than Essence You belong to me. I apologize for the shoddy application, the formula of the nail polish is very thick but that's not my main problem. The problem is in the top coat from the same brand which is horrible (but base coat is fine). It just doesn't dry like forever. I really miss my faithful Essie Good 2 Go.

Essence Forget it! 3 in 1 concealer:

I tried this concealer just once. It's very pigmented. The beige side in way to dark for my skin tone, green side which is meant to counteract the redness looks almost white when applied and the pink (for covering dark circles) side might actually work as a nice very pale lip shade. I tried the green and pink shades on my pink circles. Both turned out very pale, even with concealer on top. I will keep trying to make it work, just adjusting the amount and so on. It costs around 2,5�.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock

I bought this after reading some very positive reviews on MUA. I tried a small amount on dry hair and I haven't noticed anything special, but the reviews say that it only works when applied on soaking wet hair. It's a thick gel with sparkles and it smell amazing, kind of coconuty (identical as the conditioner that I love).

Essence Stay With Me Lip Glosses

I already swatched and reviewed the shade 01 Me & My Ice Cream (click for review)). As I wrote in the previous post Stay with me is a new line of lip glosses by Essence. I am liking these more and more. I got another shade called 02 My favourite milkshake which on me looks way prettier than 01, just because it's more peachy. I also have my eye on 03 Candy Bar which is a coraly-red shade. These are really good glosses, especially for the price (around 2.5 �).

Haul - New Lip Products From Essence

First of is the new shade of lipstick called 53 All About Cupcake, which is a pink slightly peachy shade, a beautiful neutral, everyday colour. Local Muller didn't have Coralize Me yet which is one of the new shades and interested me most. Swatches of shades 44 and 45 can be found here.

Prvi na vrsti je nov odtenek �minke 53 All About Cupcake, ki je roza z nekaj breskve, res lep nevtralen odtenek za vsak dan. Najbli�ji Muller �e ni imel odtenka Coralize Me, ki se �e zanima od novosti. Slike odtenkov 44 in 45 lahko najdete tu.

Stay with me is a new line of lipglosses, with 7 new shades. They introduce a new for of applicator, which I personally am not a fan of, but it works just fine. 01 Me & My Milkshake is a milky pink shade and a dupe of Nivea's Milkshake lipgloss and E.l.f.'s Bubble Gum. Staying power is average, they're not sticky, all in all just an average lipgloss, for the price a great product. The range of colour is nice, 02 My Favorite Milkshake is very similar to this one, just slightly peachier. They have a nice, faint fruity scent.

Stay with me so novi lipglosi v 7-ih odtenkih. Imajo novo vrsto aplikatorja, meni se kaj pretirano ne dopade, ampak deluje ok. 01 Me & My Milkshake je svetlo roza odtenek, identicen Nivejinemu Milkshake (btw Nivejina licila grejo iz prodaje) in E.l.f.-ovem Bubble Gum. Obstojnost je povprecna, niso lepljivi, v glavnem povprecni glosi, super za ceno. V�ec mi je izbor odtenkov, 02 My Favorite Milkshake je zelo podoben temu, le bolj breskov. Imajo rahel sadni vonj.

Essence also introduced a new shade of a lipliner called Coral Nude. I also purchased a shade Cute Pink and I previously owned Soft Rose.

Haul - New Products From Essence, Miss Sporty & Other

Essence recently released a lot of new stuff and bought a few. This haul will be featured in a two-part post.

Essence ima kar nekaj novih stvari, swatche bom objavila v 2 postih.

Essence released new liquid liners called Glam liner, it's available in 5 colours, I bought the colour called 05 Royal spendour which is a gold with shimmer (honestly my swatch doesn't, give it justice, it's way prettier in real life). They are quite pigmented and dry quite fast after that they don't smudge, staying power is ok. In my opinion a good product, you just can't beat the price.

Essence ima novo linijo linerjev, Glam liners, na voljo v 5-ih barvah. Kupila sem si zlat odtenek 05 Royal spendour, moj swatch mu dela krivico, je zelo lepe zlate barve v RL oz. tak kot se vidi v embala�i. So kar pigmentirani in se hitro posu�ijo, potem se ne zabri�ejo, kar je super. Obstojnost je kar v redu, meni je zelo v�ec, pa �e zelo poceni.

I also got 2 nail polishes, one is Miss Sporty 370, which is a lovely pinky-coral shade, with a really small shimmer (it's almost undetectable), the other is 53 You Belong to Me one of the new shaded from Essence. I love these light mint - teal shades, so I have quite a few. You belong to Me is a good dupe for Essie Mint Candy Apple, the latter is a touch more green in it, also I prefer the Essence one, just because it's so much easier to apply. Worlds Coolest is also very close, but bluer and sheerer, Party blue is much more blue than You Belong to Me.

Kupila sem tudi 2 laka za nohte, prvi je Miss Sporty 370, ki je cudovit koralno-roza odtenek z res drobnim �imrom (se ga skoraj ne opazi), drugi pa je 53 You Belong to Me, ki je eden izmed novih Essencevih odtenkov. Obo�ujem take svetlo turkizne odtenke, imam jih kar nekaj. You Belong to me je skoraj enak kot Essiejev Mint Candy Apple, slednji je le malenkost bolj zelen. Sicer mi je pa Essencev bolj v�ec, Essie-jevega je izjemno te�ko lepo nanesti. Worlds Coolest je tudi zelo podoben, le da je bolj moder in bolj prosojen, Party Blue je veliko bolj moder kot You Belong to Me. 

I ran out of my favourite body moisturizer Dove Body Milk, so I purchased a new bottle, I also got a Sun Dance self tanner, which is dirt cheap ( around 1,5�, available only in DM-s). I hate the classical self tanner scents, but I didn't expect this one to be any different and it isn't. When you apply it, it smells lovely, kind of floral fragrance, but in a few hours that self tanner scents develops. I love that it dries in minutes and the tan is not streaky.  I'm really pale and after first application the tan was quite faint but noticeable, after the second application the tan was quite dark, just right for me, I'm not looking for an extremely dark tan. For the price a great self tanner.

Zmanjkalo mi je mojega najljub�ega losjona, zato sem kupila novega (400 ml, M�ller za 3,99�), odlocila sem se �e preizkusiti Sun Dance-v samoporjavitveni spraj, ki je neverjetno poceni (okoli 1,5�). Sama ne maram tistega klasicnega vonja samoporjavitvenih krem, ampak za to ceno nisem niti pricakovala, da ga ta ne bi imel. Ob nanosu pa di�i kar lepo, nekako cvetlicno, na �alost se po nekaj urah razvije tisti vonj po samoporjavitveni kremi. Zelo mi je v�ec kako se hitro posu�i, v parih minutah in ker je spraj se ga da zelo enakomerno nasesti. Barva ni bila nic listasta, sama sem zelo bela in po prvem nanosu je bil ten bolj ne�en, po drugem zame �e dovolj temen. Za to ceno zelo dobra samoporjavitvena.

Haul + E.l.f. Lipstick Classy

I bought a couple of nail polishes this week. Both are from Essence, one is called Just Shout!, which is a orange-coral shade, the other is Choose Me!, which is a teal with shimmer. Swatches of Make Up Factory's lipstick will be posted shorty, but here are swatches of E.l.f.'s lipstick in the shade Classy, which my cousin gave to me (she dislikes the shade and feels a bit intimidated by a bit brighter colours :) )

Classy is a dark mauve pink with a mat finish. It's very thick (something like Barry M's lipstick), but it doesn't apply patchy. It's very pigmented, it stained my hand a little when I swatched it, so it is quite long lasting. It has a very sweet fruity-berry scent but mixed with plastic. The packaging looks very cheap and is of poor quality. If I compare them to Essence, which is in the same price range, E.l.f. one's are more opaque and last longer on the lips, the packaging of the Essence lipsticks is better and I still prefer them to E.l.f. one's. These cost 1,7 �. The swatch I made is very accurate, but bear in mind I'm very pale, so it might look lighter on you.

Classy je temnej�e roza barve z kar nekaj vijola tonov, ima mat fini�. To ni ena izmed lahko mazljivh �mink, vseeno pa se da lepo nanesti (v primerjavi z naprimer Barry M-ovo 147, ki je podobne teksture). Je zelo pigmentirana in kar precej obstojna. Ima nekak�en zelo sladek sadno-malinast vonj pome�an s plastiko. Embala�a je stra�no zanic in izgleda slabo narejeno. Ce jih primerjam z �minkami od Essence, so E.l.f.-ove bolj pigmentirane in bolj obstojne, ampak Essencove imajo bolj�o embala�o in manj vsiljiv vonj, osebno so mi �minke od Essence bolj v�ec.  E.l.f. �minke stanejo 1,7 �. Swatch zgoraj je precej dober, na meni izgleda tako temno. Vseeno pa imejte v mislih, da sem zelo svetla, tako da morda na vas ne bo izgledala tako temno.

A Small Haul and Awards

• Bioderma Sensibio make-up remover - I bought it after the recommenadation of the Pixiwoo sisters. It's a great make-up remover, that's not oil-based. It's really gentle, but removes make-up completely. / Super odstranjevalec, ki ni baziran na oljni osnovi (takih namrec ne maram). Je zelo ne�en  in temeljito odstrani ves makeup. 
• Neutrogena Visibly Clear moisturizer
• Tana eyelash curler - my absolute favourite eyelash curler/ Moje naljub�e. Prej sem imela na preizku�nji Manhattanove in so grozne. Te so super, problem je le, da nisem uspela najti rezerve gumice.
• Essence crystal liner
• Max Factor white eyeliner
• Lipsmacker Coca-cola cherry - I adore lipsmackers, they are the most moisturizing lip balms I found so far. The scent of this one reminds me of Hubba Bubba Cherry bubble gums./ Absolutno obo�ujem lipsmackerje. So najbolj mastni balzami, kar sem jih na�la, plus da lepo di�ijo. Tale di�i po Hubba Bubba ce�njevih cigumijih.

Essence Lipsticks in 44 This Is Me And 45 Almost Famous

Essence lipsticks are medium pigmented and very moisturizing. They feel more like tinted lip balms (however much more pigmented than Nivea's Labello). Some colours are shimmery, some are not, I prefer the non-shimmery ones. Almost Famous is a non-shimmery bright red and This Is Me is a bright pink also without shimmer. Both are extremely wearable colours.

�minke od Essence so srednje prekrivne in zelo vla�ilne. Meni se zdijo kot obarvani balzami za ustnice (vseeno so veliko bolj pigmentirane kot Nivejine Labelle). Nekatere barve imajo ble�cice, nekatere ne, obe �minki spodaj nimata ble�cic. Almost Famous je �ivo rdeca in This Is Me je �ivo roza. Kljub temu da izgledata zelo �ivo v tubi, na ustnicah izpadeta zelo nosljivo.

Both shower gels have a tropical scent (I love tropical scents), Palmolive's scent is more fresh, while Fa's is more sweet.
Oba tu� gela di�ita tropsko (obo�ujem tropske vonje), Palmolivov di�i bolj sve�e kot Fa-jev. Fa-jev je bolj sladek.
