Max Factor Color Collection Lipsticks

The range of colours may be large, but none of the shades appeal to me. I actually bought one years ago, but I sold it within a week. It was the shade 640 called Soft Suede and it looked so much pinker and lighter under the deceiving shop's lights.These are very pigmented, in fact they stained my hand. Seriously not even with soap the colours didn't wash of completely. Most of the shades are frosty, which I profoundly dislike, I think only the red shades don't have any shimmer. The red shades (812, 820) are actually really pretty. I think this is the first time I've seen a copper shade of lipstick (which btw looks as horrible as it sounds), I doubt shades 770 and 775 look good on anyone (they marked them here as appropriate for darker skin tones). If you like really light, nude shades, you won't find any here, especially if you're as pale as I am. All in all another completely unappealing range of shades for me, but quality-wise I remember them being quite long lasting. If you like frosty lipsticks this just might be the range for you.

�e ena linija �mink, katere odtenki se mi niti pribli�no ne dopadejo. Enkrat sem celo eno kupila, sicer je bilo to leta nazaj, pa �e prodala sem jo skoraj takoj. Odtenek je bil 640 Soft Suede, ki je seveda izgledal kompletno drugace v trgovini pod mocnimi lucmi, kot v naravni svetlobi. �minke so zelo pigmentirane, dejansko mi jih �e z milom ni uspelo popolnoma odstraniti (rdeci odtenki se �e vedno poznajo na roki, pa je �e pol dneva mimo). Velika vecina odtenkov ima frosty fini� (kar mi ni niti malo v�ec), se mi zdi da samo rdeci odtenki (812, 820) nimajo nobenega (vidnej�ega) �imra, slednja odtenka sta meni zelo lepa. Izbor vsebuje tudi dva bakrena odtenka (770, 775), ki sta za moje pojme brca v temo, komu taka odtenka pristajata mi �e ni cisto jasno (sta pa oznacena kot primerna za temnej�e polti). Ce so vam bolj v�ec kak�ni svetlej�i odtenki, jih tu pravzaprav ni, �e posebej ce ste tako svetli kot jaz (640 je na meni izgledala zelo temno roza). Za moj okus kompletno brezvezen nabor odtenkov, kar se pa kvalitete tice se jih spomnim kot precej obstojne.

February Favourites

Here are my favourite/most used products in February:

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner - review can be found here, I love how the scent lingers for days.
L'Occitane Almond shower oil - (click for review) I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I just adore the scent of it.
E.l.f. Tinted Moisturizer - I just purchased it recently and I wore it almost every day in the last month. (click for review)

In the last month I basically wore the same make up every day - a thin black line (with Mac's fluidline) on the top lash line, Max Factors white eyeliner in the waterline, mascara (I just bought a new one, Million lashes by L'Oreal), Tinted moisturizer by E.l.f. with some Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer, Coralista on the cheeks and Jemma Kidd's higlighter. On the lips I mostly wore NYX's Istanbul or Mac's Creme Cup.

A Small Haul and Awards

Bioderma Sensibio make-up remover - I bought it after the recommenadation of the Pixiwoo sisters. It's a great make-up remover, that's not oil-based. It's really gentle, but removes make-up completely. / Super odstranjevalec, ki ni baziran na oljni osnovi (takih namrec ne maram). Je zelo ne�en in temeljito odstrani ves makeup.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear moisturizer
Tana eyelash curler - my absolute favourite eyelash curler/ Moje naljub�e. Prej sem imela na preizku�nji Manhattanove in so grozne. Te so super, problem je le, da nisem uspela najti rezerve gumice.

Lipsmacker Coca-cola cherry - I adore lipsmackers, they are the most moisturizing lip balms I found so far. The scent of this one reminds me of Hubba Bubba Cherry bubble gums./ Absolutno obo�ujem lipsmackerje. So najbolj mastni balzami, kar sem jih na�la, plus da lepo di�ijo. Tale di�i po Hubba Bubba ce�njevih cigumijih.

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect

Yesterday I had the chance to swatch all 6 shades of the Smoky Eye Effect eyeshadows. Now I know these swatches are a bit lousy, but the weather has been really gloomy for weeks here, so I had to take the pictures under the artificial light. Well most of them are accurate except the second colour from the Purple dust duo, the colour is similar to Artdeco's # 245 eyeshadow (really lovely colour). I can't say much about the quality, but they're really pigmented and creamy, but they smudge easily, so I have doubts about their staying power. I suppose they're nice if you're a beginner or often in a hurry. These might not work well for people with oilier lids. Some of the colour combinations are a bit off (Citrus thunder, seriously) and some are really nice (Bronze haze, silver storm).

Vceraj sem poslikala Smokey eye effect sencila, ki so pri�la ta mesec v na�e drogerije. Kolikor mi je uspelo videti M�ller (Copova) ponuja le 4 barve, DM (Citypark) pa ima vseh 6. Slike so slabe, sonca ni od nikoder, zato sem slikala pod umetno svetlobo. Saj so kar natancni, mogoce je le pri Purple dust druga barva malo nenatancna, namrec je zelo podobna Artdecovi # 245 sencki.

Glede kvalitete ne morem kaj dosti reci, so precej pigmentirane in kremne. Pomoje so ok za zacetnike ali pa ce se ti zelo mudi. Verjetno niso ravno najbolj�e za tiste z bolj mastnimi vekami, predvidevam da hitro zlezejo v gubo. Mogoce bi bile ok kot podlaga za navadna sencila. Osebno se mi zdijo nekatere kombinacije povsem zgre�ene (Citrus thunder naprimer je lol), druge so kar lepe (Bronze Haze, Silver Storm). Stanejo nekaj nad 10 evrov. Cover Girl ima podobna sencila (itak je Max Factor in CG ista firma) in baje se te palicke hitro zlomijo (sodec po ocenah na MUA).

Some New an Less New Max Factor Products in M�ller

Let's start with the new. False Lash mascara is now available in a limited edition packaging (one of my favourite mascaras):

Max Factor has a new lip product called Xperience Sheer gloss Balm. They are basically tinted lipbalms and in my opinion way overpriced, since you can get the exact same thing if you buy one of Nivea's (You can find swatches of Nivea lipbalms here). Xperience Sheer gloss Balm come in a slim, black plastic tube with a clear plastic cover. They have a SPF 10.

Max Factor ima nove obarvane balzame za ustnice imenovane Xperience Sheer gloss Balm. Niso nic kaj prevec drugacni od Nivejinih obarvanih balzamov (za swatche slednjih klikni tukaj). Embala�a je ozka, crna palicka z prozornim pokrovckom. Imajo ZF 10.
